Butter & Chocolate Mud Pie Warriors

Hot 'N' Nasty

If you are ever in need for a little adventure, I highly recommend trying and obstacle event in the mud and rewarding yourself with something completely indulgent when you are finished.

In honor of last weekend's Warrior Dash, I thought it was only fitting to celebrate with a delicious Mississippi Mud Pie. I found the recipe in Baked Explorations, a book that I use for special occasions and for times such as these. Try this and you won't be sorry!

Oh, and who could forget the double chocolate brownies for the three-hour trip? We love you Martha.
My friend Sally giddy on sugar prior to race
I mean a girl’s gotta eat after...
Running and crawling in the mud under barbed wire…
Notice my friend Cindy in the back dodging
barbed wire while I run for safety

And jumping over fire...
And here is Sally, I swear I heard her say,
"Butter, save yourself!"

There were also cargo nets, swinging tires, jumping over trucks and several other nutty obstacles. I mean, will all of this, what more could a girl ask for?

Why a fuzzy helmet with horns and a medal of course!

And a beautiful day with some adventurous friends.
And here we are with Elvia (in the yellow). She was the first
from our team to cross the finish line - we ate her dust Mmmm!
Here are some races to check out in case you are looking to add a little more adventure to your day,

Work hard…Live life…And don’t forget to play.
And totally indulge every now and again :)

Love, Butter
